Please give us more EA FIFA tournaments. We all know how expensive online gaming is in South Africa.
Having been part of the FIWC (FIFA Interactive World Cup) last year, I was disappointed by the experience once again this year. I participated in the tournaments in Sandton and Cresta, and in both occassions, I felt a feeling of emptiness afterwards. I went to my first one (Sandton, March 2009) with my friend. Both of us felt there was nothing left for us after we had exited in the first round. It was that empty feeling, knowing that there is nothing else to look forward to except head-to-heads (my friend & I battling each other) for the next 11 months before the next edition of the FIWC, that is so disappointing.
Not surprizingly, my friend decided that he was not going to be part of this disappointing experience again this year . I too, after my experience this year, am seriously doubting whether I should participate once again next year because if I exit again in the first round, there will be nothing left for me.
For this reason, I kindly request EA Sports to please consider hosting on-going competitions in South Africa like the ones they have in the UK where people have to pay (if need be), which are held a lot more frequently each year.
This would be beneficial to both EA and Football (socccer) fans.
I'm just curious, I've never been in one of those EA FIFA tournaments, 1. Do they have all the gaming devices (PC, XBox, Playstations (all types) and Wii). 2. If they have all gaming devices, how do they compete with each other (different devices) to find a single winner 3. Or can you choose your prefer playing method (e.g. Keyboard, Game Pads(Joysticks), mouse, etc.)
